Halloween Party!

I don't have an photos to go with this post, but we're having a Halloween Party tomorrow! Woo Hoo! Tristan is inviting his friend Ben, and we have Bonny and her 2 kids and Sarah and her 2 kids coming. 3 adults and 6 kids. WOW!

A fun time is all planned including pizza-shaped Pizzas, lots of other food, dips, snacks and orange punch. Halloween Bingo, Scavenger hunt in the dark and a Spooky story with all the gory inside parts to go with the story for them to touch. We also might fit in some swimming, board games and of course, lots of laughter and fun!

Have yourself a Happy Halloween!!!

Pictures

Teresa, Tristan, Annika and Elissa in our rental Van

Teresa and Tristan getting into the ocean for the first time on our trip.
The Ocean at Sunset at Tampa Bay.
Tristan, me and Teresa at Sea World.
We went on a 'Sea Screamer' which is a REALLY Fast speedboat in which they get Dolphins to jump in the waves it made. As you can see by my pony tail - we were going FAST!
Annika and Elissa playing in the sand.

Ok - I know these are a year old, but these are some pictures from our Florida vacation last year. Tristan and I went with my best friend Sarah, her two girls Annika and Elissa and my niece Teresa.

7th Grade Progress Report

Seeing as this blog is about my 'kid' - Tristan, I thought it would be a good time to tell you about his 'progress' conferences we had this week! Every teacher says he does well, is a good student, doesn't get in trouble and participates.

Tristan is in 'accelerated math' so we asked his math teacher if the accelerated class is a good fit for him. He revealed to us that with a Map Test that the school does to see where the students are - he scored 4 points under the 'gifted' category! WOW! Can we say...proud parent? I was so shocked and happy and excited. I just wanted to shout it from the roof top!

Of course this has gone to Tristan's head...he thinks he's 'gifted' in everything. Not just math. I'll admit he's smart - but he is kinda lazy about it. He could be a straight A student - if he would work harder. But truth be told - I heard that from my mom as well. And I just coasted - getting B's when I was in school. I hope to get through to him to work harder and hope that he listens to me.

What's this all about?

Hi! I need to give credit to my friend's sister-in-law who has a website about her darling little cutie and it's so neat to see her grow up with blogs and videos and pictures! So....I thought, why not have one about 'my cats and kid'! So I wrote to Shannon and she recommended this site. Thanks!

So....come here often and see what we've been up to!
